Outdoor lighting was temporarily turned off in some streets of Belgorod to restore power supply. This was announced on September 6 by the mayor of the city, Valentin Demidov.

"In Belgorod, outdoor lighting has been turned off on some sections of the streets. This is a temporary measure related to the work on restoring power supply to residential buildings and social facilities in the southern part of the city," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

He also noted that reducing the load on the grid will allow power engineers to quickly complete tasks to ensure stable electricity supply.

On that day, the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced that air defense systems had shot down several missiles over the Belgorod region and Belgorod. He noted that at the moment there is no information about victims and damages. Operational services are working.
