The UK has opened a case on the death of a child in a fall from a window in Murmansk.

A criminal case has been opened in Murmansk over the death of a boy born in 2022 when he fell from a window on the ninth floor. This is reported by the regional SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The tragedy occurred last Sunday, October 5, in a house on Askold Street. According to the Investigative Committee, a three-year-old boy fell out of an open balcony window on the ninth floor.

As a result of the fall, the child suffered injuries, from which he died on the spot. It is known that he was in the apartment with his mother, the Bi-port news agency clarifies.

A criminal case has been opened into the incident under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Causing death by negligence." Forensic examinations have been appointed, and all the circumstances are being established.

The prosecutor's office also organized its own check.
