Sobyanin announced the start of construction of the second stage of the Troitskaya metro line

Construction of the second stage of the Troitskaya metro line has begun in the capital — from Novomoskovskaya station to Troitsk. This was announced by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in the MACH messenger.

First, fences will be installed at the sites of future stations and geological exploration will be carried out. Then the specialists will move on to the active construction of station complexes. The construction is scheduled to be completed in 2029.

According to Sobyanin, it is now being decided where the Troitsk station will be located. "It is important that the place is as convenient as possible for its future passengers," the mayor stressed.

The section of the Troitskaya Line under construction includes the stations Sosenki, Letovo, Desna, Kedrovaya and Vatutinki.

According to the mayor, the launch of the new section will help residents of TiNAO to get to the city center faster. It will also unload the southern routes of the Sokolnicheskaya and Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya lines.

In September, the construction of the first stage of the Troitskaya branch with 11 stations was completed. Modern trains "Moscow-2024" enter the line. The electric depot Stolbovo serves these trains.
