French President Emmanuel Macron has asked outgoing Prime Minister Sebastien Lecorny to hold final talks with political parties. This was reported on October 6 by the France-Presse (AFP) agency, referring to a message from the Elysee Palace.

"The President of the Republic has instructed outgoing Prime Minister Sebastien Lecorgne, who is responsible for current affairs, to hold until Wednesday evening (October 8. — Ed.) final negotiations to determine a platform for action and stability for the country," Macron's press service said.

This measure is necessary in order to stabilize the situation in the country.

Lecornoux submitted his resignation letter to the French leader on October 6. The Head of State accepted this petition. According to the Prime Minister, one of the reasons was the opposition's reaction to his decision to abandon the application of Article 49.3 of the Constitution. His decision was also influenced by the position of political parties, the "lack of working conditions" of the government and the awakening of "party ambitions." After the resignation of the government, Macron went for a walk alone in Paris.

Pavel Feldman, Candidate of Political Sciences, Professor at the Academy of Labor and Social Relations, told Izvestia that France will face a deep and insurmountable political crisis after the resignation of Prime Minister Sebastien Lecorny. Lecorny was appointed to the post on September 9, but soon faced criticism from the opposition, including the right.
