Matvienko urged to make the family mortgage rate dependent on the number of children

The family mortgage rate in Russia should be diversified depending on the number of children in the family. This was stated on October 6 by Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko during parliamentary hearings on the draft budget for 2026 and the planning period 2027-2028.

"We believe that subsidies should be targeted. We propose to diversify the rates depending on the number of children, as well as create conditions for improving housing conditions for families with children in their place of residence," she said.
