Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered to send a Russian delegation to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit to be held in South Korea. The signed decree of the head of state appeared on October 6 on the website of the official publication of legal acts.

The delegation will be led by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk.

"To send a delegation of the Russian Federation headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation AlexanderL. Overchuk to Gyeongju (Republic of Korea) from October 29 to November 2, 2025 to participate in the summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum," the document says.

The Government of the Russian Federation has been instructed to approve the composition of the delegation.

On October 4, the media reported that US President Donald Trump may arrive in the Republic of Korea on October 29, but he most likely will not stay for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, which will begin on October 31.
