The Golovinsky District Court of Moscow has arrested in absentia the editor-in-chief of the Dozhd TV channel (recognized as a foreign agent and an undesirable organization in the Russian Federation) Tikhon Dziadko (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation). This was reported to Izvestia on October 6 by the court's press service.

It is noted that the journalist was arrested for two months. He was charged under Part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Evading the performance of duties provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation on foreign agents").

In addition, Dziadko faces a sentence of up to two years in prison.

On July 18, investigators opened a criminal case against Dziadko. It is noted that he was charged with committing crimes under paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code ("Public dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation") and under Part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code. Prior to that, on April 30, the Russian Interior Ministry put Dziadko on the wanted list.

The activities of the Dozhd TV channel were deemed undesirable in Russia in 2023. Tikhon Dziadko himself and his wife Ekaterina Kotrikadze (recognized as a foreign agent) were included in the register of foreign agents by the Ministry of Justice back in October 2022.
