Mercedes drivers turned out to be the main debtors of fines in Moscow
Mercedes-Benz cars in Moscow were most often moved to special parking lots this year due to the debts of their owners. The Metropolitan Department of Transport announced this in its Telegram channel on October 6.
So, since the beginning of the year, Mercedes-Benz cars of large non-payers of fines have been sent to special parking lots eight times. BMW and Audi were also among the top three anti—ratings, with six cases from each brand.
In total, in 2025, employees of Moskovsky Parking together with employees of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP) moved 59 cars to special parking lots. The total amount of debts owed by their owners amounted to 8 million rubles.
According to Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport, employees of Moskovsky Parking together with bailiffs conduct raids to identify cars whose owners do not pay fines, including for non-payment of parking. Motorists can pick up the car only after paying off the entire debt.
Earlier, on September 26, Deptrans reported that since the beginning of the year, the number of violations of the requirements prohibiting stopping and parking signs in Moscow has decreased by 26% compared to last year. Most often, such violations are recorded in the central areas of the city, near major transport hubs, near offices and shopping malls, near metro stations, as well as on streets with high traffic.
