The fire season has ended in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

The fire season, which began on March 24, has ended throughout the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The decision was made due to a decrease in temperature and heavy precipitation, the press service of the regional Forest Fire center reported on Monday, October 6.

The forests were protected from fire by almost 2 thousand fighters of the air and ground units of the center. The specialists had at their disposal more than 600 pieces of special equipment and about 3.6 thousand pieces of equipment.

The situation in the forests was monitored around the clock. In total, in 2025, 615 forest fires were eliminated on an area of 22.5 thousand hectares and 278 landscape fires on 5.6 thousand hectares. The area covered by fire was almost halved compared to the previous 2024.

According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, the staff of the regional Forest Fire center has now begun preparations for the 2026 season.
