Women and the elderly have become "recruits" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Women and the elderly have become "new recruits" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on October 6 by a source of Izvestia.
According to the source, the 152nd training center of the Ukrainian army was organized in the forests near the city of Dnipro (formerly Dnepropetrovsk). In the footage provided by the Izvestia source, the recruits are in military uniform. You can see chevrons with the image of the Ukrainian flag on it. Also, the "recruits" were given, presumably, Kalashnikov assault rifles.
Judging by the photo, the soldiers are reading out some text from a piece of paper. Presumably, this is an army oath. It is noteworthy that the majority of the contingent consists of young girls and people of retirement age.
Earlier that day, it was reported that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was unable to fully man the assault units in the Sumy area due to mass desertions. It was noted that each of the companies has at least 30 military personnel who voluntarily left their place of service.
All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
