Indra-2025 Russian-Indian military exercises have started in India

The opening ceremony of the Indra-2025 Russian-Indian military exercise took place at the Mahajan training ground in India. This was announced on October 6 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The event was attended by the head of the exercise from the Russian side, Major General Andrei Kozlov, Commander of the Gandiv division, Major General Sanjaya Chandra Kandpala, and military personnel from the two countries.

"Our combined strength is our greatest asset in building a future where peace prevails," said Kandpala in his speech.

The Indra-2025 exercise will last until October 15. During the exercise, the military personnel will work out joint tactical actions, communication and management, and special attention will be paid to the exchange of best practices in conducting combat operations in modern conditions, the ministry noted.

Earlier, on September 17, the Russian and Belarusian militaries completed the Zapad-2025 strategic exercises. It was clarified that the practical actions of the forces took place at 41 training grounds in the territories of the Russian Federation and Belarus, including in the waters of the Baltic and Barents Seas. According to a statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin, 100,000 military personnel took part in the exercises.
