Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Major General Andrei Kochukov and Major General Andrei Shmidko as deputy directors of the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN). The relevant decree was published on the official Internet portal of legal information on October 6.
"To appoint Andrei Leonidovich Kochukov, Major General of the Internal Service, Deputy director of the Federal Penitentiary Service, relieving him of his post; Andrei Vladimirovich Shmidko, Major General of the Internal Service, Deputy director of the Federal Penitentiary Service, relieving him of his post," the decree says.
Prior to assuming the post, Kochukov served as head of the Financial and Economic Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service, while Shmidko was acting deputy head of the Federal Penitentiary Service. It is noted that the decree came into force from the moment of signing the document.
On September 24, the Russian leader appointed Alexander Gutsan as the Prosecutor General of Russia. From 2007 to 2018, Alexander Gutsan served as Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia Yuri Chaika, and since 2018 he has served as the Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the North-Western Federal District.
