Spartak football club coach Deyan Stankovich may leave his post as early as Monday, October 6. This was reported by the newspaper Sport-Express.

"At the next meeting of the board of directors of Spartak Moscow, which will be held on Monday, October 6, it is highly likely that a decision may be made to dismiss the head coach of the team, Deyan Stankovich," the publication says.

The day before, Spartak lost in the capital derby with CSKA with a score of 2:3. As part of the winning team, midfielders Kirill Glebov (5th minute), Ivan Oblyakov (12th, penalty kick) and defender Daniil Krugovoy (18th) scored goals. Midfielder Jedson Fernandes (21st) and striker Levi Garcia (57th) scored for Spartak.

On September 19, the Control and Disciplinary Committee (KDK) suspended Stankovich for a month from all competitions under the auspices of the Russian Football Union (RFU) for insulting the referee. It was noted at the time that Stankovich was personally present at the KDK meeting and denied that he had not uttered offensive words, but apologized to the committee. As emphasized in the RFU, the disqualification of the coach applies to both the championship and the Russian Football Cup.
