- The participants of the "Winners" show talked about the unique challenges of the project
To open the boundaries of human possibilities, to show that the strength of the body and the strength of the spirit can overcome any challenges — that's what the participants of the new TV show "Winners" on REN TV, which will be released this fall.
It's hard to contain emotions, this is a competition on the verge of human possibilities. The participants of the "Winners" show run, crawl, shoot weapons — just like in the tests for special forces soldiers.
"Agility, speed, strength– everything is useful here. There are a wide variety of obstacles on these tracks. Not everyone, even a trained person, will be able to pass them," said correspondent Anastasia Kharchenko.
The tests are so difficult that not even all professional stuntmen were able to pass them. There were also injuries. But, as in real combat conditions, there is no room for complaints.
"I was dragging a heavier comrade and pinched my finger a little. I tried to pull it out somehow, something. Well, he pulled it out, that's it, I helped him," said firefighter Boris Sibigatullin, a participant in the Winners show.
There has never been a television show of this format before. For the first time on REN TV and very soon on the air. Real heroes compete on equal terms here: firefighters, doctors, bodyguards, athletes.
Anton Zheladnov has been working as a firefighter for several years. He has saved many lives behind him. He devotes his free time to training.
"The profession of a firefighter is probably the vocation of everyone who works here. Everyone here probably has a fire burning in their eyes to save a person," he shared.
He has repeatedly won professional competitions, and in 2023 he was recognized as the best firefighter in Moscow. I came to the show just to win.
The fire in the eyes of firefighter Daniil Grigoriev is also burning. The choice of profession could not be different when you have your father's example in front of you.
"My father is a captain of the internal service, he is already retired, he is a former firefighter. That's why I decided to choose this type of activity. And I decided to stay here because he just fell into my soul," he said.
Daniel is sure that his speed and ingenuity will help him on the show. He has been honing his skills for years in the most dangerous and extraordinary situations.
"The most important thing in our profession is the speed of our actions, the promptness, yes, and the correctness of our actions. This is bringing everything to an end. And the most important thing is that we are always safe and sound," he shared.
The geography of the "Winners" is extensive: 140 people from 73 Russian cities. There are participants from Belarus and Kazakhstan. Each of them has serious training, but not all of them reach the end.
"It's a little hard. Despite the fact that I am constantly in the training process. Actually, I was ready functionally, but then there was a sharp pain on the handle, I fell," said bodyguard Viktor Treskov, a participant in the Winners show.
Not everyone's nerves can stand it either. It is important to be not only physically prepared, but also strong in spirit.
"It was very hard. I didn't think it would be like this. But unfortunately, the hands said that was it. At least a little of the tears are gone now, I'm very upset," said paramedic Olesya Trykova.
One of the challenges is the swamp. Mud, rain, fog, darkness, almost zero visibility — everything is real here. The show's team of creators came up with challenges that had never been seen before.
"We work on location, and it always leaves its mark. Here we do not create a smooth natural landscape, we do not plan. We take wildlife and use what we have," said Andrey Andreev, production designer of the Winners show.
On September 26, the Institute for Internet Development (IRI) presented the main premieres of the new film season, which included the REN TV project Dear Willy. The political detective gets into the audience's request for historical series, it is based on real events, when in the 1960s, in order to prevent a nuclear war of the superpowers, two secret agents were sent to Germany on Brezhnev's personal instructions. One is a former intelligence officer and now a translator, the other is his friend, a journalist. On the screen, Sergey Marin and Alexey Rozin are an acting tandem, getting into both dangerous and comical situations.
