Sobyanin announced the start of accepting applications for a program to support medical research

A competitive selection for a new scientific program to support research, which is being implemented on the basis of urban medical organizations, has started in the capital. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin told about this in the MACH messenger.

Applications are accepted from October 6 to November 9.

"The program combines grant support from innovative doctors and government assignments from leading scientific and clinical centers," Sobyanin said.

According to him, the peculiarity of the project is that the authors of scientific discoveries and developers of new technologies are the doctors and researchers of the capital's clinics themselves. Thanks to this, advanced solutions are more efficient and reach patients faster, the mayor emphasized.

Over 300 projects have been supported during the previous program. More than a hundred of them were implemented jointly with research centers, universities and high-tech small companies.

Among the technologies developed are bioprinter—based membranes for eardrum reconstruction and hearing restoration, as well as a smart container for transporting a donor kidney.
