A meeting of the Organizing Committee of the International Sports Forum "Russia – a Sporting Power" was held

A meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the International Sports Forum "Russia - a Sporting Power" was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko. The forum will be held from 5 to 7 November in Samara.

"As our President Vladimir Putin said, the Russia — Sports Power Forum strengthens international cooperation and provides an opportunity to communicate openly on a variety of issues. Preparations for the forum are in full swing. The main sites in the hospitable Samara region have already been identified, and a draft architecture for the business program has been formed. The invitation campaign is actively underway. We are expecting representatives from the regions of Russia and foreign countries. Of course, an extensive sports and cultural program has been prepared for the participants. I urge all interested departments and organizations to focus on the tasks related to the preparation of the forum," the Deputy Prime Minister said.

During the forum, it is planned to open 6 new sports facilities in the regions of Russia, as well as 2 in the Samara region, where the forum will be held.

Dmitry Chernyshenko instructed to pay special attention to the invitation of foreign participants to the forum "Russia is a sports power".

Alexey Dyumin, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports, Deputy Chairman of the forum's organizing Committee, noted that the Russia – Sports Power forum is being held for the thirteenth time.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the FSB of Russia, as well as other interested organizations and regions of Russia. The program will combine 16 sports events in Samara and Tolyatti, including the theatrical gymnastics show "Legends of Sports" by Alexei Nemov, the Final of the Russian Cup in drone racing, the Victory Cup digital sports competitions among veterans of the military, and sledge hockey competitions for combat veterans. There will also be 49 cultural program events.

"The XIII International Sports Forum "Russia - a sporting power" is being held in the year of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and will become not only a vivid showcase of the achievements of the sports industry, successes in the development of mass sports in the country, but also demonstrate a powerful systemic potential for the formation of a healthy younger generation of defenders of the Fatherland, those on whom we place special hope," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and Holding of the International Sports Forum "Russia is a Sporting Power."

Mikhail Khorev, Ambassador-at-Large and Special Representative of the Russian Foreign Minister for International Sports Cooperation. Russian diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad in the countries invited to the event will issue visas as a matter of priority to officials, honored guests and participants, as well as their accompanying persons, including on the day of the appeal. A temporary consular post will be provided around the clock at Samara International Airport.
