A group of 350 tourists, stuck on the eastern slope of Mount Everest due to snowfall, descended from the mountain. This was reported on October 6 by the Sing Tao Toutiao portal with reference to the media center of Tingri County, Shigatse District, Tibet Autonomous Region of China.

"To date, 350 hikers affected by the snowfall have safely arrived at the gathering point in the village of Qiudang, they are in good physical condition," the portal reports the media center.

It is noted that rescuers were also able to establish contact with more than 200 tourists, they will gradually arrive at the gathering place under the guidance of rescuers.

Earlier, on October 5, Thai Sounds reported that about 1,000 people were trapped on the eastern slope of Mount Everest due to a sudden snowstorm. It was noted that heavy snowfall was recorded in the area of the mountain on October 3. Due to the rampant elements, the local administration temporarily banned visits to the area around Mount Everest, but tourists already at the top were trapped.
