- A captured soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine spoke about the cost of armor from mobilization in Ukraine
The cost of armor from mobilization into the Ukrainian army ranges from $10,000 to $15,000, said Mikhail Chelenko, a captured serviceman of the Skala unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). A video of his confession was published on October 6 by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"To cut off from the army is from $10,000 to $15,000," he said.
According to the prisoner, even after conscription, you can stay in the rear if you pay the commanders a certain amount. He noted that such schemes allow some Ukrainian soldiers to avoid participating in hostilities.
Mikhail Chelenko surrendered to the Russian army when he was surrounded near Krasnoarmeysk. He said that he was forcibly mobilized and sent to the front without proper training.
On October 2, it became known that a group of soldiers from the elite Ukrainian unit Skala had surrendered in the vicinity of Krasnoarmeysk. There were soldiers who were conscripted. They surrendered after their units were destroyed. At the moment, all necessary medical and humanitarian assistance is being provided to the surrendered.
