A landfill caught fire in Vladivostok

A fire started in a landfill of solid household waste (MSW) in Vladivostok. This was reported by the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Primorsky Territory.

"Firefighters from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations who arrived at the scene found several fires and eliminated one of them on an area of about 10 square meters," the agency said.

Currently, 18 pieces of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire.

It is noted that the area of the smoke source is 3.5 thousand square meters. m, it will be covered with sand by October 9.
