Soldiers of the 88th brigade of the "Southern" group liberated Kuzminovka in the DPR

Soldiers of the 88th separate motorized rifle Brigade of the 3rd Combined Arms Army of the Southern Group of Forces liberated the village of Kuzminovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) from the formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on October 6 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

It is specified that the offensive to liberate Kuzminovka took place after an operation in the village of Perezdnoye, which the Ukrainian military were forced to leave.

"Everything was controlled from the air so that the enemy did not stick out. <...> Our troops worked effectively first with artillery calculations, that is, enemy firing points were identified and suppressed. After that, we successfully entered this settlement," said a stormtrooper with the call sign Strizh.

The Russian military noted that during the advance, crews of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) detected cameras, which were subsequently destroyed.

It is noted that the Russian military advanced towards Kuzminovka at night.

"At night, at the intermediate point, our fighters were led by twos and threes at night under a poncho so that the enemy <...> would not see our fighters. <...> After we secured ourselves at the intermediate points, there was work on the settlement <...> with FPV drones," said the platoon commander with the call sign Hermes.

According to him, after testing with FPV drones, a sweep took place. The Ukrainian military were driven out of the fortified areas, and the settlement came under Russian control.

According to the Defense Ministry, the liberation of Kuzminovka is not only another step in advancing in the Seversky direction, but also an opportunity to effectively support units moving towards the village of Zvanovka in the DPR.
