FPV drone operators destroyed an APU tank in the Zaporizhia region

In the Zaporizhia region, calculations of FPV drones of the Guards 58th Combined Arms Army as part of the Dnepr group of forces discovered and destroyed a camouflaged tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The operators operated in conjunction with a scout plus a strike vehicle: reconnaissance on light drones identified the target, then the strike vehicles delivered targeted fire. This was announced on October 6 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

According to the ministry, such defeats of equipment and manpower occur daily and significantly reduce the combat potential of the enemy, supporting the advance of assault groups.

High accuracy of strikes is achieved due to the rapid transmission of coordinates and the rapid readiness of shock calculations. This allows you to hit targets at considerable distances and bypass anti-drone barriers. It is noted that this method of combined reconnaissance and strikes significantly limits the enemy's ability to maneuver armored vehicles.

Earlier, on October 3, the Ministry of Defense reported that the operators of FPV drones destroyed the Kozak armored car of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region — the strike was carried out after reconnaissance from a small quadcopter and the transmission of coordinates to the command post. The fiber-optic control shock unit worked on the hidden equipment in the hangar. Such complexes, according to the ministry, are capable of operating at ranges of up to several tens of km, carrying cumulative and high‑explosive fragmentation munitions, as well as bypassing anti-drone barriers.
