Trump announced another US strike on a ship off Venezuela
US President Donald Trump said that American troops had launched another attack on a ship off the coast of Venezuela, which was allegedly connected with the transportation of drugs. He made the corresponding statement on October 5 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman during events marking the 250th anniversary of the United States Navy.
"Last night we attacked another boat near Venezuela, we are very good at this," Trump said.
He added that now even fishing boats are afraid to enter the waters of the United States.
On October 3, The Washington Examiner magazine reported that US military personnel were ready to launch operations in Venezuela as part of the fight against drug trafficking. According to the newspaper, numerous Naval warships, 10 F-35 fighter jets, a Marine Corps unit and Harrier jets, as well as a submarine were stationed off the coast of Venezuela.
On the same day, the United States launched a missile attack on a ship belonging to drug traffickers in international waters off the coast of Venezuela. The head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, noted that as a result of the attack, four drug traffickers who were on board the ship were killed.
