The head of the US Department of War, Pete Hegseth, commented on a popular meme about the increase in pizza orders at the Pentagon, noting that he provides his subordinates with provisions. He said this on October 5 in an interview with Fox News.

"Not only do I not go to the cafeteria, I also order a lot of pizza on random days to confuse everyone," Hegseth told reporters.

He also said that he knows about the existence of a social media account that tracks pizza orders at restaurants near the Pentagon, drawing conclusions about crisis situations and additional work of employees.

"On Friday evenings, you see a lot of orders, and it's just that I'm breaking the system in the application," the minister added.

According to Hegseth, such orders help officials and military personnel receive meals during work delays and at the same time create a comical effect on social networks.
