Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on October 5 that he intends to shorten his presidential term to one and a half years.

"I have one and a half years left until the end of my term. This deadline is likely to be shorter, and we are likely to face presidential and parliamentary elections. My term is close to completion," Vucic said in an exclusive interview on the Hit Tweet show on the portal. Pink.rs .

It is noted that the Serbian president will not change the constitution and subsequently run for president again.

Vucic also said that during his term he wanted to solve the problem of crime and corruption in the country, rather than fight political opponents.

On September 13, Vucic said that the color revolution in the country had failed and the people needed to take steps towards reconciliation. A group of citizens of the republic expressed dissatisfaction in front of the building of the Serbian Progressive Party and its supporters. On August 13, it was reported that 64 people were injured in the protests, 16 of them policemen.
