Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on October 5 that he intends to shorten his presidential term to one and a half years.

Prior to that, he reported on $4 billion spent by foreign intelligence agencies on organizing street riots in Serbia in an attempt to overthrow the government.

On August 12, protests took place in Serbian Vrbas, during which almost 70 people were injured. On August 13, it was reported that 64 people were injured in the protests, 16 of them policemen. The actions covered the offices of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party in Novi Sad and other cities of Serbia.
