France has launched an investigation into the death of a photojournalist in Ukraine.
The French National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office (PNAT) has launched an investigation into the death of French photojournalist Anthony Lallican in Ukraine. This was reported on October 5 by the newspaper Le Figaro.
The case has been assigned to the Central Directorate for Combating Crimes against Humanity and Hate Crimes (OCLCH).
Lallikan was killed on October 3. At the same time, Ukrainian journalist Georgy Ivanchenko was wounded.
Earlier it was reported that French President Emmanuel Macron expressed his condolences to Lallican's family and colleagues. The journalist became a photojournalist at the age of 30 and has covered conflicts and crisis situations around the world, from Kashmir and Nagorno—Karabakh to the Middle East.
