The nighttime shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine damaged energy in the Belgorod region

On October 5, the Governor of the Belgorod Region reported nighttime shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), which damaged the region's energy infrastructure. The exact scale of the incident is still being clarified, and the condition of the settlements is being assessed.

The governor noted that emergency crews are working on the site, as well as checking all facilities where urgent care may be required, including regional and central district hospitals. Some medical institutions have already switched to backup power and generators.

"We are all on the ground, I will come out in an hour and report on what measures we are taking to restore power supply," Gladkov said on the Telegram channel.
