The allegations of mistreatment of environmental activist Greta Thunberg and other detainees from the Global Sumo Flotilla (GSF) are blatant lies. This was announced on October 5 by the Israeli Foreign Ministry.

"All the legitimate rights of the detainees have been fully respected. It is noteworthy that Greta herself and the other detainees refused to speed up their deportation and insisted on extending their detention," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is noted that Tumberg's accusations are groundless and had no place to be. In addition, she did not complain about this to the Israeli authorities.

Earlier, on October 1, it was reported about the landing of the Israeli military on the ships of the flotilla. At least nine vessels are currently known to have been intercepted. After the incident, Colombia immediately denounced the free trade agreement with Israel.

Later, on October 4, it was reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu personally approved two attacks on civilian vessels that were trying to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. So, on September 8 and 9, drones were launched and incendiary devices were dropped on ships that were moored in the Tunisian port of Sidi Bou Said, resulting in a fire.

On the same day, Thunberg complained that she was faced with a violation of the normal conditions of detention in the detention cell. So, the detainee said that she was provided with insufficient water and food.
