Spanish aerialist Marina Barcelo crashed during a circus performance in the German city of Bautzen. She performed with the Paul Bush Circus troupe. This was reported on October 5 by the Daily Mail newspaper.

According to the newspaper, the athlete fell from a trapeze from a height of about 5 m. She received first aid on the spot, but was unable to save Barcelo.

It is noted that the incident occurred in front of hundreds of spectators, most of whom were families with young children. After the incident, many of them needed the help of psychologists.

According to the preliminary version of law enforcement agencies, the accident could have happened because the gymnast suddenly became ill during the performance.
