A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. At night, Russian military personnel inflicted a massive blow on the enterprises of the military-industrial complex (MIC) of Ukraine and the facilities of the gas and energy infrastructure that provided their work. The southern group of troops liberated the village of Kuzminovka in the DPR. As a result of the actions of the servicemen, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost up to 130 militants, three armored combat vehicles, nine vehicles and an artillery piece.

"The units of the Center group of forces have improved their position along the front line. The manpower and equipment of six mechanized, assault, two jaeger, two airborne assault brigades, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and three National Guard brigades were defeated in areas of settlements <...> of the Donetsk People's Republic. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to more than 430 servicemen, a tank, a Turkish—made Kirpi armored car, a Canadian-made Senator armored vehicle, a pickup truck and a field artillery piece," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated energy facilities that support the work of enterprises of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, rolling stock used for railway transportation of weapons, the AFU fuel supply center, storage and preparation sites for the launch of long-range drones and multiple launch rocket systems HIMARS manufactured in the USA, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 137 districts. In turn, air defense systems shot down four guided aerial bombs and 145 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 667 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 88,173 UAVs, 631 anti-aircraft missile systems, 25,361 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,593 multiple launch rocket launchers, 30,195 field artillery and mortars, 43,231 special vehicles.
