The electronic warfare system "Dome of Donbass" intercepted 720 Ukrainian drones in a week in the DPR

The Dome of Donbass air defense and electronic warfare system prevented 720 terrorist attacks on the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in a week. This was announced on October 5 by the regional directorate of the FSB of Russia.

"720 terrorist attacks from the enemy were prevented during the week. 447 drones were eliminated over Donetsk and Makeyevka, and 273 over Gorlovka," the report says.

The ministry added that the Ukrainian militants continue to use the tactics of combined raids, and also pointed to the recorded increased activity of enemy reconnaissance drones that were heading towards Horlivka and the Donetsk-Makeyevka agglomeration.

The FSB of the Russian Federation emphasized that the electronic warfare system identified 11 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), after which the fighters of the Gorynych unit of the Donetsk FSB Directorate tracked them down in the sky and intercepted the drones with FPV attack drones, preventing them from entering the protected contour. In addition, a swarm of FPV drones armed with improvised explosive devices based on PG-9C rocket launchers was intercepted in Gorlovka near the territory of the railway depot.

Also, over the past week, three Ukrainian Eagle-type drones were suppressed over Donetsk, which did not carry warheads and were used to open Russian air defense systems.

"The electronic warfare system "Dome of Donbass", operated by the FSB military, intercepted enemy drones, after which the explosives experts successfully neutralized the suppressed drones and destroyed the warheads without harm to the civilian population and infrastructure," the department summed up.

On September 21, the FSB of the Russian Federation reported on the prevention of 623 terrorist attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the DPR. It was noted that 430 vehicles were eliminated over Donetsk and Makeyevka, and another 193 over Gorlovka. The ministry stressed that the Ukrainian militants used RAM-2X UAVs in attacks, and also tried to use tactics of combined raids. It was emphasized that all enemy shells were successfully neutralized by Russian explosives experts.
