Russian mixed martial arts MMA fighter, representative of the light heavyweight category, 33-year-old Magomed Anklaev lost to 38-year-old Brazilian fighter Alex Pereira during a rematch that took place during the UFC 320 tournament on October 4 in Las Vegas, USA.

The duel between the athletes, who had previously met in March, began actively: the Brazilian, defeated by Anklaev in the spring, confidently used a series of lateral techniques that forced the Russian to retreat. Then, when the fight shifted to the periphery of the ring, Anklaev, who was trying to attempt a new attack, was "covered" — Pereira began to strike him from above.

Thus, the fight ended with a technical knockout, which was recorded in the first round, and Pereira, who has a total of 13 wins and three losses, was able to regain the championship belt, which in turn was lost by the Russian fighter. Anklaev has scored 20 wins and one draw in his entire professional career.

MMA fighter Nikolai Veretennikov from Kazakhstan, who has won 13 victories and suffered seven defeats all the time, lost in the same tournament to American Punahela Soriano on October 5. The fight lasted all three rounds, and the decision to win was made unanimously by all the judges.
