A rock collapse occurred in the Yerunakovskaya-8 mine in the Novokuznetsk district of the Kemerovo region. According to the information of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Kemerovo region – Kuzbass, published on October 5 on the website, there were no casualties. All 151 people who were in the mine at the time of the incident were evacuated.

"The collapse of the roof, about 12 m long, partially blocked the mining in the area of the ventilation shaft. There are no casualties, people have left their jobs," the report said.

Employees of the paramilitary mining rescue unit conducted an inspection of the blockage, air passes through it, and the miners begin to dismantle the blockage. 23 specialists and five pieces of equipment were involved to eliminate the emergency. The incident was reported at 1:30 a.m. Moscow time.

Earlier, on August 7, it was reported that in the village of Mnogovershinny, Khabarovsk Territory, three people died in the mine of one of the enterprises due to the detonation of an explosive substance. In fact, a criminal case was opened under the article on violation of industrial safety, resulting in death by negligence. The head of the Investigative Committee requested a report on the progress of the investigation.
