Milorad Dodik spoke about Western attacks on Serbia and Republika Srpska
Western countries are carrying out attacks against Serbia and the Republika Srpska (RS, an entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina), which lead to internal destabilization. This was announced on October 5 by RS President Milorad Dodik.
"Republika Srpska and Serbia itself have been attacked by the West. Serbia — through the so-called color revolution, which some people succumbed to. And Republika Srpska — through the presence of foreigners who use non—institutional mechanisms to crack down on the RS, its leadership and people," he told correspondent Viktor Sineok.
He added that the local population has always made unequivocal demands and did not want a Muslim crisis.
"We don't want a Muslim state in the Balkans, we want you to be inside and stop it," he quoted foreigners as saying after the Bosnian War.
On October 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Western countries were attempting a color revolution in Serbia. The Head of State stressed that the color revolution is an illegal seizure of power that does not lead to anything good. He also noted that such revolutionary changes involving external forces are an internal matter of Serbia itself, and Russia does not intend to interfere in these processes.
President Putin and Dodik met in Sochi later that day. The leader of Republika Srpska, in turn, noted that he was glad to have the opportunity to attend the Valdai Forum. He also recalled that earlier, on May 9, he attended the Victory Day Parade, which was "impressive."
