The reorientation of oil and petroleum products exports from Russia to Asia has allowed for closer cooperation between Russia and Indonesia. This was announced on October 5 by Indonesian Trade Minister Budi Santoso.

"Reorientation of [oil] exports Russia's expansion to Asia opens up opportunities for closer cooperation in processing and distribution," RIA Novosti quoted Santoso as saying.

He also said that he intends to diversify markets and expand access to international agreements in the economic sphere.
