The military leadership of NATO member countries understands the meaning of Russian President Vladimir Putin's warnings about possible problems while following the same political course. This was announced on October 4 by Russian Presidential aide Nikolai Patrushev.

"Putin's speech they <... They study it very carefully. <...> And they know everything, even without knowing Russian. <...> The military leadership perceives things that are happening differently from the political leadership," Patrushev said in an interview with Rossiya—1 TV channel.
