Pipia spoke about the influence of Western agents on the protests in Georgia
The special services of Western countries, including the United Kingdom, took part in organizing the protests in Georgia. On October 5, the international secretary of the Solidarity for Peace party, Mamuka Pipia, told Izvestia about this.
"Traditionally, Western agents are behind this, of course, very active in Georgia and the Caucasus as a whole. Western intelligence agencies are working very hard, and here, of course, the UK is ahead of everyone," he said.
The politician noted that such agents have found an opportunity to finance the protests. He also pointed out that the sponsors do not recognize Georgian family values and the country's centuries-old history.
At the same time, Pipia stressed, the country's authorities still "managed to convince the people who is the enemy and who is the friend."
A day earlier, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said during a briefing that the riots in Georgia were organized by foreign intelligence services.
On October 4, protests against the ruling Georgian Dream party began in Tbilisi's Freedom Square against the backdrop of the country's parliamentary elections. The demonstration was joined by immigrants who arrived in Georgia for today's rally. In the footage from social networks, you can see protesters not only with national, but also with American flags.
Later it became known that protesters in Tbilisi broke into the courtyard of the Georgian president's residence, breaking through iron barriers. The special forces used pepper spray against them.
