There has been a significant increase in interest in agrotourism in Russia. Over the past year, the demand for rental of country houses in nine key regions of this area has increased by 41%. Avito Travel's press service reported on October 5. "Газете.Ru ".

"Russians choose agrotourism in order to relax in nature and see firsthand how agriculture works," analysts say.

According to the company's director, Artyom Kromochkin, such trips usually last several days.

The most popular among tourists are the Leningrad, Pskov, Nizhny Novgorod and Kaliningrad regions, as well as Buryatia and Tatarstan, he said. The most significant increase in bookings was recorded in Tatarstan (+67%) and Kaliningrad region (+50%).

The publication reports that the most affordable vacation in this format is offered by Buryatia, where a daily rental of a country house costs an average of 5.2 thousand rubles. It is followed by Pskov (7.2 thousand rubles), Kaliningrad and Nizhny Novgorod regions (10 thousand rubles each).

Earlier, on October 3, the so-called "sleep tourism" is gaining popularity in Russia, when people leave for a short period of time to get enough sleep, recuperate, being in a quiet place in the fresh air. According to the results of the study, 35% of the respondents were able to get enough sleep during their last vacation. Almost one in four managed to get enough sleep during their vacation, but did not have time to fully recover. The rest of the respondents didn't get enough sleep or didn't even plan on it.
