Nikolai Patrushev declared the superiority of the Russian army

The Russian armed forces can be considered the most powerful in the world and surpass even the American ones in strength. This was announced on October 4 by Russian Presidential aide Nikolai Patrushev.

"Military people are well aware that we are now militarily stronger than any country. Many people call the United States the strongest army — nothing like that, because our army is stronger and capable of fighting back," he said in an interview with Rossiya-1 TV channel.

At the same time, Patrushev noted that even such powerful armed forces would not have been able to resist the aggression of the collective West without support from within the country.

"Without this, it would be very difficult to deter the aggression of the whole of Europe only at the expense of the armed forces," he added.
