Senior Sergeant Metelsky evacuated more than 100 wounded servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces

Senior Sergeant Pavel Metelsky, as part of a motorized rifle battalion, brought assault groups and food to the line of contact, and also participated in the evacuation of the injured. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces in the area of a special military operation on Sunday, October 5.

During the fighting for one of the settlements in the special operation zone, Metelsky took out more than 100 Russian servicemen from under the fire of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). He risked his life by continuing to evacuate the wounded when enemy artillery was working and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were attacking.

The Defense Ministry also noted the decisive actions of Corporal Vladislav Leontiev, who conducted reconnaissance and identified hidden enemy positions as part of the artillery reconnaissance squad of the mortar battery control platoon.

When the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to regularly attempt to attack the positions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Leontiev moved forward to investigate in order to identify the location of the artillery crew. He detected the enemy's firing position and correctly adjusted the Russian artillery fire on the target. The APU installation was destroyed.

Earlier, on October 4, the department told how Major Andrei Bulimov organized the evacuation of wounded soldiers and damaged equipment from the line of contact. In one of the battles, a Russian infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) came under attack by Ukrainian Armed Forces drones and lost its ability to move. Bulimov managed to ensure the evacuation of the servicemen who were in the infantry fighting vehicle, as well as to move the vehicle from the battlefield for further repairs.
