The expert gave advice on how to save yourself when encountering a bear

When meeting a bear, you should talk loudly, create noise with metal objects, or use explosive firecrackers. This was announced on October 4 by Dmitry Alyoshkin, a survival instructor. "Газете.Ru ".

"If you meet a bear in the forest, you need to create the maximum volume: stretch your arms up. If there are sticks, pick them up, hang the jacket on the sticks. If there are several people, join a group together. The bear sees quite poorly at a long distance, his vision is clear and works about 10 meters away. Accordingly, the task is to create a large volume that will be more dangerous for the bear than itself," Alyoshkin advised.

The specialist added that constant sound is an important precautionary measure, for example, conversation or music, so that the predator hears people in advance and does not come out to meet them. It is impossible to escape from the beast, it is necessary to make noise and speak articulately, since sounds similar to human speech do not occur in nature and mean danger for the bear.

The expert also recommended the use of special deterrent devices, as well as firecrackers.

"The brown bear is afraid of sound, just like the wolf. The main thing is not to throw a firecracker at the bear, but throw it between yourself and the animal to create a barrier of fear. If you throw a firecracker at a bear, you don't know where it will run to, maybe at you," Alyoshkin said.

According to him, gas cylinders are effective only at close range, and in a situation when a bear has already attacked a person, it can be difficult to use them. Whistles can be used as a warning signal.

Earlier, on October 3, it was reported that according to one version, a missing family of tourists in the Krasnoyarsk Territory met a bear there, got scared and got lost. As suggested in the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, it is possible that the man made a shelter and now they are waiting for rescuers.
