On Sunday, October 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin recorded a congratulatory video message to teachers on the occasion of Teacher's Day.

"Dear friends! I am sincerely glad to congratulate all teachers of our vast country on Teacher's Day and thank you for your difficult, very responsible and noble work. You are giving your strength and energy to the most important mission, which is literally aimed at the future," he said.

According to Putin, teachers are doing everything to ensure that students acquire the knowledge necessary in the modern world and a solid foundation of values. This will help the children to feel confident in adulthood, to achieve successes that will determine their own fate and the fate of Russia.

He stressed that the work of teachers enjoys well-deserved respect in society, and like no other requires patience, wisdom, and spiritual generosity.

"Today's holiday evokes special, warmest feelings among millions of our fellow citizens. It is dear and significant for those who are currently studying in schools, colleges, technical schools and universities. For their parents, loved ones, and all Russian families. For adults who, years later, remember their teachers with appreciation. I am sure that there are an absolute majority of such people in our country," the president said.

The Head of State noted the Russians' pride in the Russian pedagogical school, unique achievements and innovative ideas. He noted that it is precisely the high quality of education, including basic education, that ensures that Russia can solve "the most difficult tasks," such as achieving scientific and technological leadership.

At the same time, the president added that it is important to maintain the continuity of pedagogical schools so that teachers themselves can learn from their colleagues.

"We really have a lot of talented, wonderful, sincerely passionate teachers, whose example inspires both colleagues and students who are just choosing a profession. This means that the best traditions of Russian pedagogy will certainly be continued. Once again, I would like to congratulate you on Teacher's Day and wish you and your loved ones health and well-being. And to your students— achievements that we will all be proud of. Happy holidays to you!" he concluded.

On October 3, Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, pointed out the important role of teachers in all historical epochs. He called for continuing to make the Russian education system better, more modern and more efficient. In addition, Chernyshenko wished the teachers well-being and success.

On the same day, at the award ceremony for the mentors and teachers of the participants in the special operation, Putin congratulated Russian teachers on the upcoming Teacher's Day. The Russian leader noted that teachers preserve the civilizational uniqueness of Russia and strengthen its sovereignty, continuing the traditions of Russian pedagogy.
