During his visit to Santa Fe, Argentine President Javier Miley was forced to adjust his program due to protests. This was reported on October 4 by the newspaper El Litoral.

In order to separate supporters and opponents, a special strategy was applied — misinformation about the venue of the event was spread.

Initially, the meeting place was called a crossroads in the city center, where about 50 people came in the morning. However, the event was moved to the port area, where about 400 Miley supporters later arrived.

"The most memorable moment for many was undoubtedly the moment of a personal meeting with the president," the publication says.

While the president's supporters were able to meet with him at the port, his opposition remained in the city center. Miley himself, upon arriving at the port, talked to the audience, shook hands and took pictures with them, after which he left the venue.

Earlier, on September 17, it was reported that in Argentina, in the center of Buenos Aires, a mass protest began against Miley's veto of bills on additional funding for universities and the country's largest Garrahan children's hospital.

It was clarified that this is the second time that the president has vetoed the law on updating budget allocations for universities. The first veto was imposed in October 2024, according to the organization.
