A large number of special equipment is being used to disperse protesters in the center of Tbilisi, Georgia. This was reported by Izvestia on October 4.

In the footage, you can see representatives of various special services and special equipment crews who arrived after a repeated attempt by protesters to seize the presidential palace of Georgia, according to journalist Giorgi Jabishvili.

Special forces, ambulances, and fire safety vehicles can be seen among the special services.

Earlier in the day, protests against the ruling Georgian Dream party began in Tbilisi's Freedom Square against the backdrop of the country's parliamentary elections. The demonstration was joined by immigrants who arrived in Georgia for today's rally. In the footage from social networks, you can see protesters not only with national, but also with American flags.

Later it became known that protesters in Tbilisi broke into the courtyard of the Georgian president's residence, breaking through iron barriers. The special forces used pepper spray against them.

Georgian Deputy Interior Minister Alexander Darakhvelidze said that 14 policemen were injured during the riots in Tbilisi. He clarified that several people were detained during the protests.

The Georgian Interior Ministry has also opened a case on five counts in connection with the riots. It includes assaulting police officers, organizing and participating in gang violence, destroying other people's property, and attempting to seize or block objects of strategic or special importance.
