In Moscow, the results of the work of the V.P. Chichkanov Charitable Foundation for the Support of Young Scientists "Height" were summed up. At the annual meeting, which took place at the Roscongress Multimedia Center, the results of the foundation's activities for the year were presented, and the names of the fellows and laureates of the foundation's program were announced. In addition, the "Departmental award of the enforcement authorities of the Russian Federation — the Valery Chichkanov Medal" was presented.
As part of the launch of the targeted scholarship program for graduate students, over 1.5 thousand applications were received from 17 leading universities and scientific organizations in Russia. After a multi-stage selection, 11 laureates and 10 fellows were announced.
During the session with young scientists, the participants talked about research and practical challenges, from access to modern equipment and mentoring to cooperation with industry and protection of intellectual property rights.
The fund's work plans for 2026-2027 were also presented at the meeting. In particular, they include the expansion of targeted support measures for the foundation's fellows and laureates, the launch of an accelerator for undergraduate and postgraduate projects, the establishment of an award in the field of preventive medicine and longevity, the creation of mass media and a unique platform for informing about the work of young scientists.
In addition, the departmental award of the enforcement authorities of the Russian Federation, the Valery Chichkanov medal, was presented. The award will be awarded to the winners of scientific research competitions dedicated to the history of education, development and modern activities of the Institute of Bailiffs in Russia and abroad.
The Vysota Foundation has also agreed with the Voskhod Investment Fund to create a joint accelerator for the projects of the foundation's laureates and fellows. An agreement has been reached with the Ministry of Economic Development in the field of scientific and technical policy and cooperation with young scientists.
According to Roman Chichkanov, founder of Vysota, in less than a year the foundation has achieved "concrete results — today we support every 80 graduate students defending their dissertation in Russia, promote projects of Russian young scientists in a single fairway and cooperate with all key development institutions, universities and legislative authorities in the field of scientific and technicalthe technical agenda". The Foundation has also set itself the goal of achieving a 10% increase in the number of graduate students by 2030. "This is an investment in the long—term growth of the knowledge economy and the strengthening of Russia's technological sovereignty for decades to come," Chichkanov added.
In turn, Nikita Marchenkov, Chairman of the Coordinating Council for Youth Affairs in the Scientific and Educational Fields of the Presidential Council for Science and Education, noted that more often than not private charitable foundations focus on any one area of research. However, during the meeting, "works on energy, cybersecurity, biotechnology, economics" were presented, and "this approach promises many prospects," he added.
