Protests have taken place in the Serbian city of Bor over the actions of a Chinese mining company to extract ore and pollute the environment. Footage of the events of October 4 is published by Izvestia.

"Today, protesters gathered in the city of Bor at the call of students to express their dissatisfaction with the actions of a Chinese mining company that mines copper here," said journalist Sergey Petrov.

According to local residents, the mines were once closed due to the fact that they polluted nature very much, but then they were sold to a Chinese company, which is now engaged in further development here. It is noted that the main complaint of the protesters is that mining of copper ore pollutes the environment both in Bor itself and in nearby cities.

"According to the students' plan, they go to approach the office of the mining company, but it is unlikely to succeed, because the road in this direction is blocked by quite serious police forces," the journalist added.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on September 13 that the color revolution in the country had failed, and the people needed to take steps towards reconciliation. Prior to that, he reported on $4 billion spent by foreign intelligence agencies on organizing street riots in Serbia in an attempt to overthrow the government.

On August 12, protests took place in Serbian Vrbas, during which almost 70 people were injured. A group of citizens of the republic expressed dissatisfaction in front of the building of the Serbian Progressive Party and its supporters. On August 13, it was reported that 64 people were injured in the protests, 16 of them policemen. The actions covered the offices of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party in Novi Sad and other cities of Serbia.
