The ruling Georgian Dream party is leading in the parliamentary elections in all municipalities of the country. This was reported on October 4 by Sputnik Georgia in its Telegram channel with reference to the country's Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

Local government elections are being held in Georgia on Saturday. Voting takes place simultaneously in 64 municipalities and districts of the country. As a result of the elections, the mayors of five major cities — Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Rustavi and Poti, as well as the mayors of 59 municipalities and deputies of local city assemblies — Sakrebulo will be elected. 12 political parties are participating in the elections, but part of the opposition has announced a boycott. Nine candidates are competing for the post of mayor of Tbilisi, including the current mayor, Kakha Kaladze, a representative of the ruling Georgian Dream party, who has held this position since 2017.
On the same day, protests against the ruling Georgian Dream party began in Tbilisi's Freedom Square against the backdrop of the country's parliamentary elections. The demonstration was joined by immigrants who arrived in Georgia for today's rally. In the footage from social networks, you can see protesters not only with national, but also with American flags.
