More than 50 police officers were injured during clashes at mass protests of the Global Sumud Flotilla in support of Palestine in Italy. This was announced on October 3 by the Interior Ministry.

According to the ministry, the Italian Interior Ministry counted about 400,000 participants in 29 mass actions.

On October 3, Al Jazeera reported that protests broke out in Italy over Israel's interception of a humanitarian aid flotilla for Gaza. According to police, there were 10,000 participants in Rome alone.

On October 2, the Israeli Foreign Ministry announced plans to deport members of the Sumud flotilla. The ministry noted that all the activists are healthy and safe. It was noted that the passengers of the Hamas Sumud flotilla were sent to Israel, where the procedure for their deportation to Europe will begin.

The main ship of the Global Sumud Flotilla, led by Greta Thunberg, sailing to the shores of the Gaza Strip, was attacked by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on September 10. It was clarified that this attack, which became the second in a few days, was recorded off the coast of the city of Sidi Bou Said in Tunisia.
