Izvestia correspondent Evgeny Bykovsky delivered humanitarian aid to Ugledar
Izvestia correspondent Evgeny Bykovsky, together with TASS photojournalist Dmitry Yagodkin, delivered humanitarian aid to the residents of Ugledar in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
There are only 24 people living in the village. According to the Izvestia correspondent, there is no light, water or gas in Ugledar, and public transport is not working. People are heated by bourgeoisie, charge lanterns from generators and survive solely thanks to humanitarian supplies.
"Some houses burned down. Some nine-storey apartment buildings have built-up entrances. But despite this, people continue to live here. And they need humanitarian aid because there are no shops or transport here," Bykovsky said.
Local residents, in a conversation with a correspondent of Izvestia, noted that for the first time in a long time they could sleep peacefully and not be afraid of shelling.
"At least you can sleep peacefully. You can go out, at least come in to check on someone. And so, you know, how we ran. Oh, when you remember, it's creepy," the woman shared.
Another resident said that the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) "beat the basements" where civilians live.
Izvestia correspondent Sergey Prudnikov made a trip to one of the border regions of the Kursk region with the team of the Kursk volunteer association "We Help Ours", which delivers humanitarian aid to soldiers of the Russian Army. Izvestia showed the footage on October 4. The humanitarian cargo included warm clothes, personal parcels, homemade cakes, medicines, and unmanned vehicles. The volunteer girls also have a main job, but they collect humanitarian aid in their free time, after which they deliver it on their own.
