The court recovered 924 million rubles from builders of fortifications on the border with Ukraine

The Ostankino Court of Moscow has satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation for more than 924 million rubles in the case of embezzlement during the construction of fortifications in the Belgorod region. This was reported on October 4 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

The process was held behind closed doors, as there is information in the file that contains state secrets.

The defendants in the lawsuit are the vice-governor of the Belgorod region Rustem Zainullin, as well as businessmen Sergey Petryakov, Ivan Novikov, Konstantin Zimin and Dmitry Borovlev. A lawsuit has also been filed against the companies Region Siberia and Stroyinvestreserv.

The Prosecutor General's Office demands to recover more than 924 million rubles from the defendants and turn these funds into the income of the Russian Federation.
