A man who tried to kidnap a girl in Balashikha was arrested before December 2.
Vitaly M., 39, who tried to kidnap a girl in Balashikha, was arrested until December 2. This was reported on October 4 by a correspondent of Izvestia.
According to the person involved in the case, he did not intend to kidnap the child, but only took his hand to allegedly take him to the police. It seemed to him that the girl was homeless or had run away from home.
"I say, 'Girl, let's inform the parents.' I have two children myself. I am not a bandit. <...> I work every day to help, but there is some kind of horror here," the arrested man said in the courtroom.
The man also admitted that he was drunk when the incident occurred. He added that he works as a security guard, supports his family, and also provides for his ex-wife and daughter from Kemerovo.
In Balashikha, Moscow region, on October 2, passers-by helped a schoolgirl escape from a man who allegedly tried to kidnap her. The video recorded by the cameras shows an unknown man running after the schoolgirl, grabbing her hand and trying to hold her back. Local residents reported that the man introduced himself as the schoolgirl's father, but she denied it.
The next day, on October 3, police officers from the Moscow region detained a 39-year-old native of Kurgan, who had tried to take a young girl with him the day before in Balashikha. According to the source of Izvestia, the man's name is Vitaly M. He was repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility for minor hooliganism and for drinking alcohol in public places. A criminal case has been opened.
